Award Criteria

 

The criteria for selection for an SCSF award include a combination of academic achievement and demonstrated commitment to community service and/or gainful employment.

Our Awards Committee evaluates the applicants who will receive SCSF awards based upon a combination of academic achievement and demonstrated commitment to community service and/or gainful employment. Our annual awards are not based upon financial need – we believe that all awardees can use a helping hand with their educational or vocational/technical expenses.

The applications become available in December in the Southern Cayuga High School guidance office, or students may download and complete the application on our website. Award recipients are announced at the SCCS Senior High Awards night, typically held in May.
